So many people in the society do not manage to visit a dentist due to the scarcity of dentists for we have 1000 registered dentists in Kenya others is due to lack of ability to pay since dental treatments are expensive and others especially in the rural areas there is poor or no access to dental services at all.
So dental clinic plays a very crucial role bridging the gap of desperately needed Dental screening and Dental treatment. So far we have managed to organize over 10 free Dental camps in collaboration with Baraka Smiles Dental Clinic in churches, community, schools, children’s home offering checkups, extractions, fillings restorations e.g. Braces, denture and oral health awareness.
In the near future we plan to have a mobile dental clinic van which will help us reach hard-to-reach areas. The focus of this model is to offer access to care for under served residents of isolated, rural communities. This helps patients that would otherwise have to travel a long distance to reach a dentist.
